Ganryu Island (巌流島, Ganryūjim; formally 船島, Funajima) is an island in Japan located between Honshū and Kyūshū.

Ganryu Island is famous for the duel between Musashi Miyamoto and Kojiro Sasaki. In Dr. Slump, as Arale Norimaki brought Musashi Miyamoto to the present, Kojiro Sasaki stays waiting for his duel with Musashi Miyamoto on the island in the past for eternity.[1]
